I purchased a used accord and for the longest, I couldn't figure out why the Cruise Control would not work. Finally it was digging around under the dash to see if the clutch sensor was broken. I found that the there was a plug that was not connected. It wasn't connect the the metal "ECU looking" thing. After plugged in my cruise control worked fine.

My question is what is that box? what all does it do? It's for me to see that, that box is just relaying the clutch sensor switch to the cruise control unit... I'm wondering what other things would not have worked while that plug was not connected.

i would like to know what it does too. my 91 honda accord doesnt engage cruise control right away. the light turns on when i hit set. but it takes its time to engage. it has no set time. longest its taken i would say 1 minute

 

It sounds like the cruise control computer, It it held in by 2 10mm bolts mounted on a angle? post a picture.The only other thing there is a fuel pump relay.

 

Isn't there a main relay next to it also?
