Default H22a accord intake

First thread on this forum!
Anyways, i'm looking to buy an Injen or AEM cold air for my H22a. Only problem is the brackets and vacuum hosing are completely different for the h22a (prelude) and the f22b (accord). The piping is similar but is bolted down differently on the chassis and has different brackets for the cars accord-ingly. How would i get the vacuum hosing for the H22a but the piping for the accords chassis? Or is there some kind of intake out there made for this delema?

Buy the intake for the chassis you have and once it's in you can measure for custom vacuum hoses. It only costs a couple bucks for a roll of vacuum hose.

I just used the prelude one since it is larger diameter for the higher output engine. it fits fine and the only hose i ever attached was the one from the valve cover.

They both end up in a 60mm reducer so what's the point of having the extra .5 of an inch?

If it is a complete Accord kit. The cap is could be for the intake air resonance vacuum source. The IAR system is usually removed with the installation of a CAI. However, I would need to see what size the cap is and what year & model the kit is for.

I just looked at both kits, the accord kit comes with a 6mm "cap" and the prelude kit comes with a 5mm "vacuum cap"

the links for both kits can be found here

Prelude:

Accord:

the hosing wont be a problem but those caps might cause problems. Do you think it is possible to order the 5mm vacuum cap from Injen? If i could do that then ill order that and the Accord CAI and call it a day!

The caps shouldn't really matter. You can usually pick up a mixed pack of vacuum caps at most autoparts stores for a couple bucks.
