excessive outer tire wear
passenger side front tire ONLY has worn down to the cables in ~3500 miles..
car is a 95 coupe(in sig below) and i recently put 97 wagon front struts, coupe/sedan Megan springs, spindles, brakes and upper control arms in the front. it has been fine and the first pair of tires wore EVENLY.. then i put a pair of mismatched brand tires in the front(used).. and i just noticed yestrday that ONLY the pass side is worn on the outer shoulder to the wires...
i jacked up the front end and shook it down.. all is well except for an inner tie rod on the other side(driver side).. any ideas??
i am gonna throw another used tire on the rim and see how it goes.... the usedtire is like 8/32nds tho so its like new...
i have 2 concerns.... my steering rack seems "loose" in feeling when i turn it... it has been looped and powr steering-less for about 5 years....
wen i did a ball joint check witj a 3 footprybar under both front wheels i noticed that the driver side strut traveled about 3" up when i pulled on the prybar...
BUT on the pass side(where my tire is worn) the strut DID NO OR BARELY moved!!!! i am a technician and business owner and i am stumped.. alignments are not something i do or am equipped for so naturally i am lost somewhat here.. i just need some help trying to diagnose this..
thanks and sorry for the read.. ill b posting pics shortly
