Default 96 Half-Shaft Outer boots

When I recently replaced the clutch in my civic, I had unnoticely ripped the outer boots on the half shafts. Now I'm spitting grease in the wheel well.
I went to Honda was qouted 400 to replace them. I was like DIZAM. They said I could do it with proper tools. So i'm thinking another DIY project.

I need help knowing what to do, what to look out for, if 400 is worth it, and if buying a used one is worth that too?

Any help would be
thanks

//Jesse

Find a friend that has done this before, and get them to help you. FOR CERTAIN, get a manual to help you do it.

However, if you have never done this before, and don't have a friend, get rebuilt axles from an auto parts store, or a place like RAXLES.com, or driveshaftshop.com, and just install them.

yeah doing a boot isn't to hard, just messy. if you don't want to deal with it, checker, autozone, etc sell rebuilt axles for $69 a side + your core.
