92 hatch - Gas release lever does nothin'
The saga begins ...
So, I just recently picked up a 92' cx hatch.
Needless to say it needs a little bit of work here and there (Priority #1 is replacing the gas filler line, some hill-jack replaced the breather line with a garden hose)
First things first, the fuel door release lever does nothing, I pull it and it gives no resistance nor does the door budge.
I've attempted to remove the plastic case over it to inspect the line, but needless to say it also seems to be stuck to the car ( This lil bastage, except not RHD)
WTF am I doing wrong here?

Can you get at the door itself? Might be that little piece of metal on the door is bent somehow, and is not allowing the door to open.
I've attempted to shimmy the door around a bit and no dice.
I just found that if I unscrew the actual release mechanism I can get it to open from the outside in (wtf?), just getting my big mits back there makes it difficult...
Stay tuned: more in 5

Managed to get the sucker open.
The notch that the door hooks in with was way too aggressive...
Ok, onto the next thing relating to gasoline and fuel shenanigans!
Part# 14 has a (no effing joke) Garden hose as the breather tube...

Tackling this SOB at a later date, I got it to stop leaking for now.

Yep!
I've got two restoration projects going at the moment, 99 SI just rebuilding sections of it and this silly 92 hatch.
The 99 wasn't ****ed up, it just leaks from EVERYWHERE.
The 92 so far has been hill-billy rigged to hell and back.
