Default Easily fixable or do I need to replace entire subframe?

96 Civic coupe. On the right side of the rear subframe is some damage. Looks like one of the previous owners might have run it off of the road at one point in it's life.

Nee an opinion or two if this is easily repairable or if I'm looking at major headaches. Lemme know if I need better pics.

Mind you, I've been driving with this, without issue, since I got it 6 years ago. The most it does is maybe make the top of the strut tower creak a little from the suspension on bumps or hard turns.

No. It aligns perfectly fine. No cracked welds. Just the deformation at the ends.

Thanks guys. I guess if I've gone this long with it and no issues then it's okay. It just gets me PO'd every time I look at it.

I was thinking more along the lines of just straightening out the bent parts. I'm not about to pay that kind of money to have a subframe replaced if I can help it. But since it seems to be more aesthetic I can live with it.

you can just straighten that out. take a pair of pliers with flat jaws (knipex makes many nice pairs) and bend it back. Just don't go too far or do it multiple times, you could end up snapping the metal off if its thin and weak enough.

Tried that. The metal is not thin or weak. It's stronger than I am.

normally after a hit like that you can just bend it back.

you could always try heating it but i'm not 100% on how that will affect the metal.

have a really big set of pliers lol? another option would be a large dead blow hammer or a 3-5lb sledge and a rag
