04 honda accord won't start, clicks only.
Help! I have a 2004 honda accord V-6 3.0. that won't start after I parked it at a shopping center. No cranking. Just a click sound and nothing. Battery is fine (tested). Some one mentioned a fuel relay. I don't know where it is situated on my 04 accord v6. What could this be? I suspect the starter or alternator.
What was the battery voltage?
If the battery is fully charged (~12.6 volts), it might be the starter. I've heard that light tapping on the starter body with a wrench/hefty object might help it start once more so you can drive it to the shop.

Thanks newtohonda and gwiffer. Here's an update: we were able to rule out both the battery and alternator. We tapped the starter and eventually got it to start. The culprit is the starter. Sometimes it would start, but this must be preceded with some "cajoling" with a hard object. I bought a starter $105. It is cheaper online of course but I didn't want to wait. Will have it installed tomorrow and will update.
single click is almost always the starter. the "bristles" inside lose contact. hence why banging on it sometimes helps them to make contact.
rapid clicking or slow cranking is generally a low battery.
