Honda n00b with k23a1 questions
Hey Guys
New to honda, but not cars. Been messing with them for years now. (and Im only 16, hahah). anyway, I got my hands on a k23a1 for cheap cheap cheap. (300 bucks, not including ecu and injectors).
I have read it will not bolt up to manual transmissions. Well, I used to mess with diesels, and we always swap motors (cummins in a ford is the most common) and just used an adapter plate. Can this be done or is the front wheel drive something that blocks this from happening?
I have also read that if you want to do the swap you have to convert to all wheel drive. Is this just because of the lack of a manual transmission that will bolt up or is there something on the motor that dedicates it to a life of all wheel drive? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I thank you for reading.
