I have a 1998 Accord Coupe. 2.3l, 4cyl, v-tec engine. When I go to the gas pump and gas up, the car will not start for about 10-15 minutes.?. If I leave the car running while I gas up, it will start running really rough and even stall out if the flow of gas is to fast. If I put the gas in really slow while the car runs everything will be okay. Also, during hot days the car will show its temper and not start, however, it will start after 10-15 minutes of the first key stroke. My mechanic ran a diagnostic and said I have an evap leak which he figures is my charcoal canister; other then that there were no codes. The mechanic also figured that there is a relay under the dash that could be causing the problem with the hot days, but it doesn't make sence that this would be causing the problem at the pump. Does anyone here have any insight on this issue? Thanks for your time.
