alrighty guys so........98 LX civic auto. we have replaced 2 ignition switches in the last month. and i also replaced the stock cat with a ebay header (was cracked all the way around, so got a cheap fix) and the second 02 sensor wouldnt fit in the bung so we left it out. My buddy said i wouldnt have probles leaving it out. But my wife was driving it around and it randomly decided to sound like it was straight piped?! i didnt believe her but the mother ****er is LOUD. and it also boggs BAD from a dead stop. Is it cuz of the o2 sensor? I just bought one and imma take it to the exhaust shop and get the bung moved and put the new sensor in. Hopefully that fixes it so i can sell the thing to get our GTI lol. Only codes is the 02 sensor......But im kinda puzzled. Thanks guys.

 

im thinking if i change the plugs and put in new o2 sensor i should be fine? I just dont get how it sounds like i put a HUGE muffler on the back lol. this car is LOUD lol.

 

if its a cheap ebay exhaust you might of already blown out the gasket cause i had one of those shitty headers on my b20 and i blew out the gasket in the first 2 weeks. they are crappy quality. just go out and buy a metal one if that is the issue. sorry if this doesnt help

 

good point! thanks! ill change it anyways....only a what $20 part? ill change that out.....should get rid of the 3in exhaust sound LOL. and change the plugs and slap in o2 sensor and sell it before something else breaks LOL. $4500OBO! haha. 80k miles i believe. maybe less. fairly good condition and a full sound system. should be able to atleast get $4000 for it. like i said all money will be going to a down payment for a mark5-mark6 GTI.
