Clutch problems...
I was looking up how to adjust the clutch on here cause my clutch feels weird... I found the arm by the transmission for the clutch and tried pulling on it to see if i could raise it at all but it was pretty tight, i couldn't move it. Since this didn't work i had my girlfriend come out to slowly push the clutch in and out letting me know when she started moving it, had it all the way in, and when she had it all the way out and the arm was moving throughout the whole cycle...
The reason that i thought the clutch needed adjusting was because when i push in the clutch all the way, it goes all the way to the floor (The carpet has a mark in it from me pushing in the clutch). So i thought maybe it was loose and engaging late however it seems to start engaging as soon as the clutch is moved.
When the clutch is fully disengaged (just sitting there), there is no play in the cable. There is no tension on it though, so it must be fully disengaged. I can see the tension added as soon as my girlfriend starts to move the clutch and continues to move until the clutch is smooshed to the floor...
Does anyone know what's wrong? Everything works fine and i can shift into all of the gears, it's just really annoying having such a long throw on the clutch.
Could it just be a stretched cable? I'd think a stretched cable would be when the cable has play and can't be tightened anymore... I really don't know though
Also, when sitting idle, i have to push in the clutch a couple seconds before i put it into reverse or it will grind. Is this normal? It doesn't happen with any other gear, just reverse.
I think i got everything, i feel like i had too much to explain and i feel like i'm running circles lol, sorry if i was rambling... Any help is appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a normal clutch. Honda clutches feel weird to me too. Had mine a year and I still am not used to it, lol. Reverse is a really low gear and will grind like that in about any car. Try going into a forward gear like 3rd or 1st and just barely letting it out until the car starts to move then try reverse. Shouldn't grind as bad then. Mine does it too, your clutch is probably fine dude.
in my car the previous owners adjusted the clutch way too much. the adjustable clutch cable is to compensate for your clutch wearing down, and once its reached end of its run, its time for a clutch. its what im goin thru now. dont hold me to what i said, because as far as hondas go im new to it, but from the research ive done on that junk it should be right.
