96 accord p1381 CEL code
I recently started to get the code p1381 Cylinder Position Sensor Intermittent Interruption ... I got it to clear off once with my scanner but it came right back ... I have changed the following parts already and it has not gone away. Distributor complete, igniter, plugs, wires, egr valve, checked timing 100 times, only thing I haven't changed is the ECU AND COIL I refuse to keep putting money into it for the same result. I checked resistance in the old distributor and is only getting .425 ohms at the plug which is not in spec of 800-1500 ohms ... I borrowed a distributor from a perfectly fine running accord and same results ... At the computer I'm getting .850 ohms on both distributors which is in spec ... Has anyone ever heard of something like this or experienced this? .. I'm desperate to get this fixed without anymore money into it ...
When attempting to start the car it struggles and starts on the 3rd time every time ... After it gets started the car runs perfectly fine no rev limit or anything drives and shifts perfect and idles like a champ ... But only has a problem starting ... BUT when you adjust the distributor to advance or retard the timing it doesn't do anything ... Is that connected to the P1381 CEL? ...
