Hi everyone,

I took a chance and bid on an blue 2003 Acura TL in a local auction. It had a salvage title, but from what I could tell, only minor body issues. I got it for $2500. So far it has been running like a champ. It's got nearly 150K miles on it, but the previous owner had a rebuilt tranny put in around 132K. I put a new timing belt in it when I got it, but otherwise, I haven't had to do anything to it. Fingers crossed, but it's running buttery smooth for the time being. Think it'll last? Can any other owners of older TLs attest to their longevity? Thanks!

My TL has 325,000 and is nearly as strong as when it was new. Simply a fantastic automobile. My next vehicle will be one exactly like mine. Same model, year, everything if possible. Even the NAV works perfectly. You did well for yourself.

 

My Accura year2003 3.2 TL, now around 110K km, start to face tranny problem the enginee & Maint req Light up! Do you think how many km that I can drive before I need to change or rebuild the tranny?

 

ncchui, I have a2002 3.2 tl and at 122,000 it started having the typical 2000-03 tranny problems. I have put 15,000 miles on it since by babying it and changing fluid, cleaning solenoids but it now is really acting up. I am trying to find the fix for it. Someone on this sight told of a 2006-07 accord replacement that would remedy this. I am having trouble getting this info and would like to communicate with this person for advice. I still haven't posted 5 posts yet. Having trouble with that as well. I think I am cursed! lol!
