Turning Signal Problem, 92 accord lx
Ok so i have a problem with my turning signal/hazard lights. At first the problem started when i would use a turn signal, after clicking it off the clicking sound would continue for a bit and then stop. It gradually got worse until it was clicking non stop and the right turn signal was dimmly flashing on its own without the switch even being on! In about 20 minutes it got much worse when both lights began flashing on their own(As if the hazard lights were on) again dimly light though as if not at full power. When this happened the turn signals completely stopped working and i could smell something like an electrical fried smell coming from the steering column. After this happened the turn signal switch locked up and i yanked on it to break it loose( probably a bad idea, but it was working at that point anyways). So currently the lights flash as if the hazzards are on but very dimly, the hazard button still works when its pressed causing them to light up fully like they should but the turn signals no longer work. A friend of mine removed the turn signal fuse i think, the little black plug in order to stop the lights from flashing so i could drive it for work. Sorry about the rant guys but im out of ideas here, any help?
Yea i was kinda thinking the same thing, going to try replacing the turning signal switch and the relay. The relay is definitely the one that keeps clicking, maybe its bad? Doesnt smell burned or anything though
