95 civic - extreme electrical malfunction, dash and reverse lights don't work
my 1995 civic is having an extreme electrical malfunction, lets start at the begining i bought a car for 2200$ 91000 miles on a d15b7, 5 speed, good buy? err wrong spent 1600 on parts i didnt see broke. besides that i noticed the reverse lights did not work properly, not knowing that this will be the biggest nightmare ive ever had to deal with, i checked the switch, its good, 12 volts both sides i pull all the fuses its still getting 12 volts.... wtf, i pull the ECU relay and bam it kills it, i decide to replace the fuse box thinking its the integrated control unit and nope waste of money all it did was make matters worse, now i have NO dash lights or reverse lights, and i dont have money to give to a mechanic to fix it because of course i spent 1600 on axles and ****. i would really LOVE some help, PS- typing out of anger just got out from a 105 degree floor board.
Did u check your fuses for dash light..mine did the same thing kept blowin fuses for the dash turns out my radio harness was hitting some metal and blowin fuses check that my 2 cents hope it helps
the car came from VA so no floods here lol, but yeah i checked all fuses but i will check the radio and stuff like that, if no luck ill just rewire the reverse switch to the tailights because its been an extreme hassle
and yeah the harnesses are all good to go, when i unhook the harness from top right corner by fuse box it kills it meaning most of the wiring should be good in the bay correct?

1) Buy a digital multimeter so that you can test components before replacing them.
2) 10A dash fuse 15 controls voltage to the reverse lights. Use your multimeter to test whether both top test tabs of installed fuse 15 have battery voltage with the key in ON(II).
3) 10A dash fuse 19 controls voltage to the cluster and climate control lights, as well as the taillights/parking lights. Do the latter lights work?
4) Exactly describe the original problem with the reverse lights. What "ECU" relay did you pull?

i have a multimeter and the test light, its the 15a ecu fuse my dad said, and the 10a dash fuse is not blown i will check the voltage in just 20 minutes, will get back as soon as possible with a response.
4) Exactly describe the original problem with the reverse lights.
its the 15a ecu fuse
If you want good advice, you need to provide detailed and precise information.
my original problem with my reverse lights are its getting power to the switch from somewere and still do not light up, when i have all the fuses pulled. except my 15a ecu fuse in the top left corner under the hood.
Post a picture of the switch that you believe is for the reverse lights. Where exactly is it located? What wire colors do you see in the switch?
there is voltage on both sides of the switch in reverse and in neutral with key switch on[II] it is only reading 10 volts which is another ???
