like it said i just bought a 99 civic coupe i think its an hx b18a1 block, b18b1 head not sure on the harness but thinkin its somethin outta a vtec maybe b16 cause there are lots of wires cut in engine bay. then by the ecu there is a jumper (bobby pin) on a blue 2 prong harness between a black and brown wire ......under the hood i see at least green with yellow stripe cut /green and black /blue and white / white/red.....it goes on but it has a
37820-p75-a04 ecu i want to mantain obd2 since i live in ny and emmission are rediculous any help would be awesome pretty sure ecu is odb2a cause there is plug/no plug/plug/plug

Why do you say it has a B18B1 head on a A1 block? The bobby pin is used to pull the check engine light which leads me to my next question, is the CEL on? If your engine is OBD2A then the green/yellow wire is VTEC, green/black & white/ red should be your secondary O2 sensor, blue/white I belive is your VSS (is your tach or speedometer not working?)

its a complete mess ill post pics tomorrow and the block says a1 the head says b1 not sure if it makes a diff.... and not sure if it has codes yet i dont wanna run it till i clean that spegetti bowl of wires up a little and battery is dead so prob. all old codes are erased

 

How does the head say b1? Should only have circles w/ numbers and pr4-x

im assuming they got the head from a junkyard cause it has b18b1 on the side in yellow lol but yea i have a feeling its gonna be a B*tch to get right i might just throught the swap into my hatch cx which has a nice uncut harness.....all i have todo is the 3wire iacv to 2 wire right . but anyway ill have pics up tom. night
