Gsr no power to fuel pump can i run a switch to it
My 95 gsr has been having problems ive tracked it down to my fuel pump isnt getting power at the connector. my question is can i run a switch to it so i can manually turn it on?
Power for the fuel pump is supplied by fuel pump relay in the PGM-FI Main Relay, if there is no power to the fuel pump then there is a problem with the PGM-FI Main Relay, and if it has a problem then the fuel injector relay may not be working and you will not have power to the fuel inectors either.
Problems with the PGM-FI Main Relay are common and in most cases an easy fix... http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html 94

Running power directly to your fuel pump is not a good idea, if you get in an accident you don't want the FP running continuously after the engine has died for obvious reasons. It could also slip your mind to shut the pump off one day and you could end up with a dead battery or pump. Have you checked your fuses?
yea i have the same problem. going to check the main replay tomarrow and if its not getting any power then going to chase it back to the ecu and check if im getting power from the ecu. The best way is not hooking up a switch because your pump kicks on and off its not always on when ur driving so dont hook it to a toggle
