I've been hired on as the Technical Consultant for an up and coming Drag Racing Reality TV Show, the working title as of now is "Quick 10." There are 2 very large TV Production companies that have given the green light on this project, and I will be working along side of 3 very talented TV series producers.

The Overview for the Casting Call for "Quick 10" is:

"1 mansion - 1 large car garage - 10 Drivers harnessed to 1 drag strip - It's every drivers dream to have a garage full of cars. The fastest way to achieve that goal? Race for pink slips! At the end of the 8 episodes 1 racer will walk away with 9 cars. "Quick 10" is like "Pinks" or "Ultimate Fighter" on steroids - there is no 2nd place!"

We're looking for quirky characters behind the cars, wild nights out on the Vegas Strip, nail biting wins, blown tires, and bruised egos. This TV series is as much about the racers as it is the cars. Over a few weeks, viewers will be watching teams tweak their cars, push their boundaries, and tear the hell out of the Strip.

This TV Series will be filmed in Las Vegas.

If you or someone you know is interested, send me an email with a quick Bio. We want: (name, age, what your car is worth, what you do for work, or are you a hustler. Plus a photo of you and a photo of your car) If we're interested in you, we will gather some more info, like a more detailed Bio, and a quick video (even an iPhone video).

This is NOT limited to Hondas, any car is welcome.

The racing will have a level playing field, so that there is close competition. Nobody will get cheated out of their car, I am here to make sure that it is fair. And, there will be a significant Consolation prize to contestants who lose their cars.

This is the Real Deal, this is not a pilot series hoping to get picked up. Once the contestants are chosen, and the filming starts, it will be broadcast on Major Nation Wide Television.

Anybody is welcome to be a part of this show, but you will have to live in the "Mansion" in Las Vegas for a certain amount of time.

This is either a scam or will be a great embarrassment to the community. Reality tv is more about folks acting like douche bags than anything else. Anyone who knows enough or runs a serous business will not be able to attend leaving the "second string" to represent the folks who actually know what they are talking about.

 

So each person that losses on the show has to give up their car?

What does it pay per episode?? I'll take vac if it paid me good per episode lol. 10k an episodes 80k screw the car, I'll get another lol.

I've got a few updates on the show from the Producers!

- By sending me your info, trying to get selected for the show, you are not locked in. You can back out at any time. The producers don't want people to be nervous about sending in their Bio.

- Filming time in Las Vegas is about 2 weeks from start to finish (for the out-of-towners). No date has been chosen to start filming. It's at least 2 or 3 months away, if not longer.

- Spike TV is now one of the major players who's interested in picking up this "Quick 10" series.

I'll watch it, but I pray to god it isn't a bunch of idiots as the stars. You need to find some of the guys who have won IFO type events, or other Series events that the Hobbyists show up to and have a fighting chance... the guys who have regular jobs and make this hobby their life after hours and on the weekends and who don't have everything under the sun at their disposal. Make it REALity TV. A show where the rest of us chumps can fully understand what these guys are going through...

but unfortunately it will all be about ratings, so it will probably be some no talent ***-clowns who are more worried about their 15 minutes of fame than they are the cars, racing, and representing the community in a proper manner.

 

X10 will make drag racing an the scene look like were a bunch of idiots

 

At least miller, that would be one entertaining show...

if its a real show produced by a multi million dollar company i highly doubt they need people from honda-tech to chime in
