I just bought a 96 Accord EX wagon, and the wipers work but you have to fiddle with the switch to get them to stop, and also you have to make sure the wipers are in the "park spot" on the windshield. The lady I bought it from said she replaced the wiper stalk, but maybe it was bad too? Could the issue be with a motor or a relay somewhere? Thanks.

 

Does it feel loose? Grab the end of the stalk and lightly shake it up and down, if there is play the stalk is bad.

Did she really replace it or just say that, maybe it was a used unit.

 

I called her and she got another one on Ebay, but it is still doing the same thing. Maybe it is a relay or motor issue?

It feels fine, no play in it at all...

 

So you installed another one and it is still doing it or she said the one in there now is from ebay and doing it?

To me it sounds like a stalk issue still.

Maybe the one in there is not for an Accord, wrong part?

 

She got another one for it off of Ebay and replaced it prior to my getting the car...that is the one that is in it now. It still does the same thing as before.

 

Ordered a new one...
