Default Help with EF 91 build

hello guys, I am in the process to throw a B18 GSR in my 91 civic, however I just found out that the front engine mount bracket does not align properly. I have been researching and yet can't find the right bracket... is it the 93 integra? is it the 94 integra? or is it the EF 91 (japanese) which came with B16 engines? any help would be appreciated

Thank you,

may be able to get that mount from a EDM or JDM EF that has a B16, but not too sure if they use the exact same crossmember. i know that mount is available through innovative that you have to use with their traction bar. But i'd try sourcing one from a 90-93 integra as they may work

Buy aftermarket mounts and forget about the front one the harder the urethane in mounts the less the motor will move.

Thanks guys... I did get mounts from innovative, yet the original bracket does not align properly... I was reading on previous swap jobs that the 93 integra fits and that it is the same bracket used for 91 Japanese civics; so I went today to the yard and found a 93 integra and I got the bracket off of it. So that you know, it is the bracket for the mount on the driver side... I will let you know if that works

Once again thanks for all of your suggestions.

Cheers,

Cheers,
I am a little confused. Are you having problems with the front mount (on the crossmember) or the driver side engine mount?

As far as I am aware, the EF front mount bracket will not line up with the b-series front mount. Most swaps don't use a front mount though, unless the car will be used on a track, the mounts are stiff enough that you won't need the front mount for daily driving.
But if you want to take that extra step like I did with my B16 EF, I had to cut the bracket off and reweld it into the proper position. I've also read that the 2nd gen integra front crossmember is a direct bolt-on for the EF and can be used for the front mount on a b-series swap to avoid any fab work. But I've never done it myself and can't verify it for you.

Yup, it is the bracket for the mount on the driver side... that is the front of the engine that's why I referred to it as such... sorry for the confusion. I am working on the wiring now cuz could not find a complete SI harness (integra engine harness does not fit properly) so I will have to reuse most of the EF harness with some additional wire for VTEC and so on... so I guess soon enough I will find out if the bracket I've got aligns or not

Guess what? that didn't work either... the bolts are of by less than 3/4 inches to the left... I spoke to a friend mechanic who told me I need acura bracket, part 11910-PR3-010 and thankfully I found it, below is a link to the page I found it at and to the picture of what it looks like... it is so similar, just a small difference with bolt alignment... this swap is becoming a pain in my ***
