Default powerband and intake length/diameter articles

is there any articles or a formula or a graph explaining how that works

i want to get a proper length and diameter intake for my motor but cant find anything on it.

most of the google results are fro inake manifold runner length not the intake tube length

Trial and error. Best way to find out what your car likes strap it to a dyno and find out

so theres not even general guidelines about it?

i mean someone must have already tested how it affects power band.
like increasing diameter and length and how far

does it follow same rules as intake manifold runners?

short and large riameter intake runners move the power band up the rpm

long and skinny down the rpm like toyota truck folded sausage intake manifolds.

do the bends in intake pipe play any role?

if my car is in open loop( tuned by a shop) and i have a wideband hooked up

would that give me any indication?

say richer mixture in midrange would mean the intake is more restrictive than what was tuned with. and if the misture is leaner than normal it mean that the engine is getting more air than it did with original intake?

or maybe using a datalogger to see
do 2 runs with each intake and see what the map sensor reading is?

the reason is im trying to figure out if the slight dip from 6200 to 7700 was because of my cheap ebay intake tube or something else.

anyone can read a dyno good and maybe give me a few suggestions on what can be improved?

heres my build thread with dyno chart and engine specs

If I remember right there was a thread about it in the All Motor forum. Try searching there.

If you've skimmed through enough of those intake runner articles, you may be beginning to understand that all of your frequency tuning is done there.

With your air filter pipe, all you're doing is finding the best compromise between restriction and velocity for your combination. In general, anytime air has to change direction more than ~7 degrees, it loses velocity.
