Competition Clutch Any Good?
I've done alot of research about these clutches and still can't make up my mind. Alot of people dislike them. alot of people like them. i've notice alot of race cars use them like Speedfactory etc...I've also heard their Stage 4 and 5 Clutches have stock pedal feel but holds up to 500-600hp. If they're good why are they so cheap compared to other brands.
I did alot of research on them also and will be getting one when I'm ready to order my twin.
What I found as far as people not liking them was the same 3-4 people bashing them in every thread that ever came up about CC. Just go back and look at all the threads you seen with bashing in it. It will be the same few people.

i think the rating is related to torque output not power. either way last year i got the comp st5, switching out the act xdr6 setup that i was using for years. the comp is better in every way. less pedal pressure, smoother engagement and much better disc life
Even with this question, Comp Clutch will have something for him. I use their clutches on all my cars. from our 300whp street cars to my integra. Their customer support is great aswell, if you have any issues they will be happy to help you. I know CMR and SpeedFactory stock all their product, id hit them up.
Been using the CC D2B Twin disc and been holding up good and the pedal feel is great.
CC Triple Disc just arrived got it from speedfactory. It will be replacing our good old exedy twin disc. Hope it will hold and last like exedy.

I put a Comp Clutch twin disk in my race car when I first built it many years ago.. Still on the same clutch. Started out running 11's, car now runs high 8's.
Can't seem to beat the value for the money..

I still have my original CC twin i bought in 2005 as a back up clutch! i put a new clutch in it last year just cause i wanted too. When they wear down most of the times all you need is to buy news discs and you are ready to go again!

But yeah, they've got something for everyone. That being said, when some of the best in the Industry run them, you know they're doing something right at CC. Of course every brand has a few bad units, its just going to happen, but I am fairly positive there are THOUSANDS of Competition Clutches being used out there with 0 issues - also, when stuff does fail, sometimes you have to question who installed it (not always, but some people just dont know wtf theyre doing).
I run a competition clutch twin the pedal feel is amazingLy soft compared to that last two clutches I had ( act 4 puck extreme and clutchmasters stage5). It actually took my a while to get used to how soft it is. I won't use any other brand
i got a stage 1 6puck clutch kit with a 12lbs fly wheel from CC and its not as aggressive as i thought but its smooth and easy on my foot but i cant complain i got it for $360 for the setup brand new glw ur pick
Competition Clutch is the stuff has been since they opened there doors! So much support for this community and sport you just can't say enough good things about them!
I will be using the triple disc setup on the New motor. I've heard nothing but good. I owned a stage 5 CC when they originally came out in 2003-4 and it was def better than my act that I owned at the time. Clamping force and pedal feel was the best. Oh and price.
