Icon2 Looking for PY #00-595

Well im in the market for a ITR and it's something I have always wanted but never had the funds back in the day to do. I was introduced to HT by a lost member Thomas Truong SN tjtruong he was a great friend and showed me how to work on my car and got me into track days etc etc. I always loved his ITR and wanted to buy it when he sold it but was not in a position to.

I know there is still a few members on here that knew him and the fight he had with cancer. My mission is to find his ITR if it still exists and build it like we had always talked about and dedicate it to him or just build another ITR just the same. I was unable to attend his funeral up north and I have regreted it to this day. I found a anouncement the other day at my moms house helping her out with a prodject and it told me where he was barried so my mission is to build his R or a R to his specs and drive up north pay my respects and show him he is not forgoten and will ride forever in the ITR family and as my friend.

If you know the where abouts of PY #00-595 please let me know.

Here is what I know about the car last

https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-integra-type-r-8/adios-itr-595-a-515200/
-sold in NORCAL,
- we installed a shift light in dash left of the steering wheel in that empty whole with a plastic cover and there should be a nick where he gouged the dash alittle.
- it had holes from a Kirk roll bar that was bolted in to it at one point as well.

Thanks for any help
-Chris

Best of luck to you dude,i respect what you are trying to do especially since I lost a friend to cancer a while back that was also a Py itr owner and a member on here as well I can relate this thread brought back good and bad memories those days pf him helping me work on my car and him taking home miscellaneous parts of mine home w/ him lol, him tickling my first daughter until she cryed then to the days of the battle looking bad to him looking strong and healthy w me feeling and hoping he defeated it then to the hospital when all hope was lost and then ofcourse the funeral etc. definitely brought tears to my eyes to see such a strong indivual taken down.. Not trying to thread jack but R.I.P. Spyder aka Mr.Wrench on here miss you G. And R.I.P. To your friend as well man GL.

Good luck with find, Do you have VIN? Mabe doespike has vin and you can run it? My badge number is close. (don't know my #) But according to carfax my car spent all its life in Salt lake city, UT.

Thomas lived and registered the car in manteca and the car was sold to a guy I believe from Sacremento or somewhere up there. He was suposed to join HT but I dont think it ever happend. I wish I had the VIN it would make life a whole lot simpler.

Truly hope you find it and do the spoon conversion he wanted.

Oh ya i remeber that trip good times. Well I picked upa JDM front 01 PY ITR last weekend funny thing is it had most of the spoon catolog on it when i baught it but I could not afford the rims or mono calipers so had owner take themoff prior to selling to me. So the prodject just got under way and will take a bit to get going. It all depends on fire season and how much OT i can swoop this season. Im trying to come up with a idea of a badge or something to put in the car that wont look odd I kinda want something like say a number badge type set up or a special edition car type badge. If u got any ideas drop me a PM

I sware I think thomas read this post. 2 days after i posted this i get a silent PM from a guy selling a py spooned out ITR looking to sell and wanted to keep it hush hush off the board's etc. IT fit what i was looking for so I swooped it up . It seems all so surreal. Im excited to get the prodject going and restoring it to thomas and my standards and tracking the hell out of it and coming to meets and getting back in the honda/ITR comunity
