98-02 Accord 5 Speed Owners Inside Please
Hello, first post, and I'm hopeful someone here will be able to help me out. I have a 01 Accord sedan, with a 5 speed manual transmission. I love my car, and it has been 100% trouble free until recently.
Something is wrong with the clutch system, not the clutch, but the hydraulics. The clutch engagement changes, sometimes it won't engage at all, sometimes the pedal will stick to the floor.
I have no doubt that there is air in the system. I'm just not sure why or from where. I don't want to just replace the clutch master or slave cylinder without having a better understanding of what could be at fault.
My biggest question at this point is the connection where the hydraulic line meets the slave cylinder. It wiggles, and I can't remember if it has always done this. Will someone else with an Accord check theirs please? I have feeling it shouldn't be so loose, but then again it's not leaking fluid anywhere so I don't know if this is the problem or not. I've attached a short video I took with my phone.
Is this a common issue and does anyone have any pointers? I hope to fix it this weekend. Thanks!

I have a problem in the same area. In attempting to remove slave cylinder, the flare nut wrench would not turn the line removal nut. The shoulders rounded off from the force of counterclockwise turning but the line would not come out. I removed the slave cylinder and thought I could get a better grab onto the rounded off nut with pipe wrench and channel lock pliers. Still no turning of nut. How do I get the shaft out of the slave cylinder? I noticed no threads on new slave cylinder where the line goes into the slave cylinder, so I can't figure out how the line is held into the slave cylinder. Can anyone help. I am stuck without a car until I can get this problem solved.
