Thats a 7 lug.
I have NEVER broken a 4th. Only time I've ever had an issue with 4th is when the top bearing broke and sent peices threw it.. I was never in 4th on that pass.
I have broke every other gear though. 3rd gear 3 times. once 1st and once 2nd.

Without a doubt, we have had misalignment issues with 4th and a few and broken 4th's.. Major fatigue on the final drives too, they start to have small pieces missing from the pinion within 8-10 passes on 26's..

I use lucas 75/90 usually
I had a 3rd gear do something like that seen below. the counter side was unharmed and i reused it fortunately. I also had 4th gear strip completly off and it was misaligned like that. I machined the spacer between 4th and 3rd to realign 4th when it was all snapped in using a cut case...i used shims to makeup for the difference that i dropped the gear by on the shaft. My 4th gear lines up 99% on par now when assembled. Liberty swears up and down that their mockup in house lines up when assembled but i don't see how and showed them pics.

my bad alignment - you can't make it perfect because of how close the dog ring is to the gear itself...you can get it real close though, much closer than they do or "did" ....i got it down to a .010" gap

my broke 4th

my broke 4th

I made mine line up perfectly just using shims in the correct spot. I cut up a case and put it together 20-30 til I got it right. Any time I shook the tires hard it broke..
mine lines up "perfectly" its 10 thousandths gap. I didnt want some kind of axial movement to cause rubbing between the lugs and the driven gear. Next time it comes out im going to check for any contact, maybe shrink the clearance if its good.
