Default alarm going off

I have 2000 Honda coupe with 127,000. miles. Sometimes when the car is not moving the alarm goes off and I have to use the remote to stop it. I thought I was inadverdantly hitting the panic switch on the remote but this continues after I started being very careful.
I recently met an Owner of a 2002 Accord in a parking lot where his alarm went off after just parking the car and leaving. He was about 15 feet from the car when the alarm went off and he did not have a remote. Any ideas as to how to stop this??

Default Re: alarm going off

Pull the fuse for the alarm, [if stock alarm] and replace it with an aftermarket alarm. 94
