Default 04 ep3 burning oil question

So recently I have been burning alot of oil, I am wondering though, about 1 month ago I added a 2.25" blackworks catback exhaust, and a 2.25" megan test pipe, so now I am catless, would eliminating the cat on the stock ecu make me burn some oil, or run lean and cause this? I was sitting there letting my cart idle for about 10 minutes to let it warm up and when I gave it some gas a little cloud of smoke emitted from the exhaust, this is the first time that this has happened, I am going to pull and check the pcv valve tomorrow. This idea just popped in my head and I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight, thanks!

if you eliminated the cat and are running a more flowing exhaust you will get smoke because the cat was there to absorb and catch all of that.

if you are really worried maybe do a compression check just to see how your engine is sitting.
