94 civic fuel pump sometimes won't prime
We just got my daughter a 94 Civic 2 door hatch....replaced the coil and ICM...now it runs great ...... but when we start it cold (Houston TX cold) it just turns over.... We have been turning the key on and off with the clutch out until we hear the fuel pump kick in....then it starts .... but it doesn't do it on the first few tries...The old owners said the fuel pump is new...any ideas....Thanks Greg
Fuel pump failure is relatively uncommon.
This^
The main relay can be resoldered:

Also thoroughly clean (wire brush and steel wool) and tighten the G101 ground connection on the thermostat housing.
If these^ don't help, then you may need to replace the ECU.

I talked to a Honda repair shop today .... he said I should take it to a Honda dealer and have them run a check on the main computer ... He said they are the only ones that have that diagnostic tool they don't let private shops have use them....Has any one heard of this before? ... Thanks Greg
