Default faulty hid unit in s2k???

hey guys, we have ap1 jdm s2k with a faulty passengers side head light, (left hand side) we have swaped the bulbs around, still not working on the passengers side, how do we test the hid unit to tell if its faulty, the car was crashed around 3 months ago and we instaled new head lights, but we swaped the old hid units over to the new head lights. any help would be hugely appreciated so we can get this car back to the owner.
cheers
travis

does the driver side work correctly? if you changed the bulbs from left to right and still doesn't work, try swapping the HID unit from left to right. if it works, then obviously it's the HID unit. also check your fuses.

OT: confused me for a sec, you said passenger side left, but then I see you're from Australia.

yea, in the end, we swaped drivers side for passengers side and the passengers side still didnt work, but the drivers side worked in passengers side plugs, and as for the fuses, the owner had checked them, and also replace the bulbs in case it was anything like that, in the end it was the hid unit, and the wreckers replace the unit for us thankfully
