Need some advice on a 98 Accord
I bought a 98 Accord EX V6 off an old lady for 1200. I am having a few issues though I would like to figure out and any help would be greatly appreciated.
When I first got it I noticed the horn wires had been cut after I was looking around to see what was causing my lights to randomly flash. I realized it was my alarm going off randomly and that is why the horn wires had been cut. I hooked the wires back up and unplugged the horns and then unplugged the hood latch to disable the alarm.
Second issue is the car would get hot at idle but be fine while driving. I noticed the radiator fan was not coming on so I hit the back of the fan and it has been working every since. Is this a sure sign the fan is about to die?
Third issue is I was driving the other day and the car just shut off on its own. THE rpm/ speedometer dropped and all dash lights went off. I put it in neutral and it started then died real quick. I finally got it going and it did this about three times on the mile drive back to my house. I haven't drove it since then(Saturday). Could this be some electrical issue related to me the alarm going off and me unhooking the hood latch?
Last is the paint, is has what might be oxidation on the hood, top of the car, is there any kind of wax that might somewhat help this?

1) After pulling the hood latch did you plug the horns back in to see if this solved the issue?
2) Does the AC work? If so turn it on, BOTH fans should turn on? With the ac off and sitting still, as the temp goes up BOTH fans should come one, do they?
3) Could be the ign switch failing, ICM failing....or back to the alram. Have a volt meter and a timing light. Can do some testing to see what/which might be going on.

I havent hooked the horns up but I have not notice d the lights flashing since. The ac works and both fans come on. The power issue I think was a loose battery cable connection. It shut off on me yesterday and I wiggled the battery cables and it started. Today I put need ends on the cables and drove it for awhile and it hasnt done it since.
