I have a 96 Accord LX coupe (4cyl non-vtec). With basic mods (exhaust, intake, chip, good gas, whatever else) and NOT going inside the engine, no turbos, no nitrous, and no radical weight loss program, what is a good time? What are some other basic mods i'm forgeting about? Is it possible to break into the 14s?

 

Without going inside the engine, maybe 15's. Heavy *** car, low hp/tq engine, slow times.

 

i know its another engine, but from what?? What motor is the popular one to use for civics? What turbo do you run? boost? HP and TQ figures?? Just curious, and trying to learn about hondas. TIA.

If you drove it off of a 1320 ft cliff you might hit 14s. There is no way in hell that you will hit 14s without nitrous, boost, or opening up the engine if you are on street tires.

 

mid 15's if you are lucky..
