1999 honda accord stalls a lot
Ok, so i bought a 1999 LX Honda accord coupe. It comes with the v6 engine. anyways i had a mechanic do a tune up on it, went to Honda to get all fluids changed and timing belt/water pump done.(came out to be 900 BUCKS!!!
)
anyways i have a problem with it stalling, at first it would just stall when im going from a complete stop to driving. after a while it started to occur more and more and more. now its about 2 to 3 times a day. i would stall out on the freeway, but i noticed that the radio would stay on. i don't know what exactly could it be. I looked up the problem and people say it may be the ignition switch on my car?? and it might have been a recall on it? anyways i went to Honda and they DID NOT want to replace it because they needed to replicate the issue... the fact that it occurs about once in an average of 6 hours, chances are i wouldn't be able to when im at the dealer. so does anybody know what might be the problem? I am puzzled and my family mechanic is too. PLEASE HELP!!! :[

Was it replaced under the recall, yes or no. If no, then you get the first one for free and they should honor the safety recall.
Even if the first one was done, that does not rule out the switch...they replaced them with the same design.
This could also be a main relay issue. Are you able to do any testing?
