Icon2 acl bearing

my buddy told me to get acl bearings and just snap them in.
i know for sure that oem bearings have to be measured,
do acl bearings have to be measured as well , or i can just place them in?

you still have to measure to make sure the bearings are giving you the desired clearances

you should always mic the crank, cause you might have to have it turned and if thats the case you cant use oem size you will need oversized..

Depends on what the crank came out of and the condition.
If the crank had spun a bearing previously then having the crank mic'd is a must to see if it can be saved.
Once the crank is mic'd and bearings installed check all oil clearances with plastigauge or other methods.
If clearances dont check out polishing of the crank or oversized bearings and further machine work may be necessary.

But most aftermarket bearings come in 2 sizes. Standard and oversized. And shop around they have other companies besides ACL have you looked into King bearings?
