well i want a swap, i think>>>> i want somthing cheap and reliable, thats why im staying d series. i have a sohc zc, but i want more power. the z6 is fairly cheap and easy to find, but i heard the y8 is a little better. what should i do, and where can i buy a y8 with low miles?

I would just keep the zc and build it up for boost. Changing out to the y8 imo is not worth it when you could be spending that money on building your current motor.

Y8 gets my vote... that thing pulled hard in my CRX... surprised quite a few DOHC guys too, I might add

EDIT: Y8 Turbo would be UNREAL...

I would suggest staying with yout current set-up the ZC, because if you swap in a SOHC vtec your not going to feel a big difference. They are both pretty similar in numbers. Save the money and build up your ZC. I believe you will be happier then wasting money to pull numbers(if you drag) that you can already do with this motor. Just my 2cents but do whatever makes you happy and what you think for yourself is best. Whats good for others is not always good for you.
