So I just do all this and Ohio hires 180 more State cops
I thought we were in some sort of recession...Ohio is hiring a 180 more state patrolman. I'm sure there is a guy with a spreadsheet that adds their salary plus numbers of tickets equals profit.
In such a revenue generation state, like Ohio, they've just about raised every fee they could. They went from prorating license plates to fines for being late. It used to be that if I let my RV or boat trailer expire, I only had to pay for the time left. If I let my tags expire in October and renewed in May...I didn't have to pay the entire amount.
Now, If I don't renew them on time, within 7 days, they fine me an additional $20.00 plus the entire amount. That goes for your drivers license as well.
So now, we have an new armada of ticket issuers.
It was the perfect timing for me to have a Mini with a VTEC type-R engine and about to put a turbocharger system on it. I'm going to get pulled over just because the car will stand out.
Screw'm, write me...I'm too old not to have a good time.

Agree. Needs to be moved to GDD if no pics/info.
@ VTEC+Mini: recession= more crime= more police. I work up-fitting police and fire vehicles and they (Ford, Chevy, and Dodge) can't hardly keep up with demand. We're getting Explorer Interceptors 5-7 days from the factory, Chargers within a month, and Tahoes the same day they roll off the line (it helps that they make 'em 2 miles away).

I'll be driving the car as is down to Go-Autoworks, arriving Saturday sometime for a "disco Potato". (You just have to love that name) It looks like crap now because the one piece flip fiberglass front end isn't painted or even close to being ready for paint....but it's ready enough to get to Alabama.
Keep your registration up to date and dont drive like an *******...problem solved. By the way, this is a technical forum, not a place to whine about getting targeted by 'The Man.' If you need to vent, go to GDD, not here.
