Stupid majestic honda wont ship to me internationally, I placed my order but they cancelled it.

I have a RHD EF7 so my rack end bushing is on the LEFT side of the steering rack, when Im pretty sure LHD cars have the rack end bushing on the RIGHT side, is this correct?

Anyways Im hoping someone can confirm that the rack end bushing part number 53430-SH3-000 is the same bushing for both models.

I orderred the part locally (for thrice as much) but its going to be 3 days and if I get confirmation that it will be correct, then I can tear the old one out in the meantime.

Man you start a lot of new threads as offshoots of your existing threads

I would assume they're identical. Its not like a firewall or dashboard where the USDM and JDM parts are "mirrored". There's no reason the rack end bushing would be different, it would just be on the opposite side and facing the opppsite way rather than being a mirrored design.

 

Ya I know I do, people dont reply to specific tech threads so I have to be more specific each time it seems, a jdm front end thread would have 40+ replies after 12 hours

I bought it anyways, I just want to disassemble the rack while I wait, hoping its the same

Seriously think about it, there's virtually no way they're different. There's nothing design wise to necessitate it be different. I don't see why you can't go ahead and disassemble your rack anyway regardless.

Here's an idea - remove your current RHD one, take pics, post them, and we'll compare
