Not to familiar with the accord motors but assume they are very similar to the civics??

Should I be looking for an IACV?

 

I have ran into this before... and yes thats what i did to fix mine..

 

Yeah the IACV is a good place to start. Also check for vacuum leaks. If neither of those are your issue it could also be an air bubble in your coolant. In my case it was caused by a gummed up throttle body. I had to take mine off and intensively clean it with tb cleaner and a toothbrush, although if that is your problem you may not have to take yours off.

Pretty sure the 00 v6 does not use a fitv.
