Clutch issues 95 accord 5 speed
I got in my car this morning, started it up and put it in first, when I went to let off the clutch it engaged almost immediately, there was no play from having the clutch all the way down and barely bringing it up to engage it, thought it was a little wierd but when I shifted into 2nd, I noticed the clutch pedal was going to the floor with little pressure, or less pressure then it did previously. It still has some, but now it just goes to the floor easily, and when i'm engaging it, engages alot quicker then it used to. The clutch isn't slipping, it engages good and solid.
I've been searching around, and other people with different cars have said stuff about slave cylinders, bleeding the clutch, replacing clutch, i'm just not sure where to begin.
What's the main thing I should be looking at? I have a trip to Seattle planned this wekend and am not sure if I should drive it or not...any help is appreciated

things you could look into:
-possibly need to bleed your clutch system
-slave cylinder may have a bad seal and letting air get in and slowly make a soft pedal (happened to me)
-clutch master cylinder may be starting give-out
you could start by trying to bleed the clutch system to see if it solves the problem first, in the FAQ i did a clutch install write-up and near the end of the post i did a detailed write-up on how-to bleed the clutch system(if you dont know what your doing)
hope this helps!

I didn't have alot of time this morning to look into the situation further before I had to go to school, My plan was to check all the fluids and see if it just needs some added. I'll look into those things and probably bleed it tomorow. thanks man
I'm betting your master cylinder has no brake fluid in it, so refill it and pump the clutch pedal. It will usually gain pressure temporarily until it all the brake fluid leaks out again. I would look for leaks around the slave cylinder if there are none check your master cylinder, to find leaks for the MC look inside the car particularly near the firewall where the clutch pedal is. Also bleeding the system will not solve the problem (it will solve it least temporarily) you will need to replace one of the failed components. It's an easy DIY, I actually did mine last week took about an hour to remove the slave and bleed it.

Alright, I checked the the fluid levels and there was no fluid coming into the top where the cap is, so i topped it off, pumped it a few times, let it settle down and filled it back to the line. The clutch engages like it used to, but the clutch still feels soft. I'm going to bleed it and see if that will fix the problem for now at least and i'll start lookin around to see if I can find the root of the problem

it is possibly your clutch slave or master ....cuz i had the same problem i just changed both of them they are not expensive part and are not that hard to install either i say change both and your problem should be gone .... but one question did the clutch slide or did it work just fine before you ran into this problem
