alright fellas i got some clear tail lights sitting around waiting to be painted candy apple red. The question is what can i do to make the paint really STICK? meaning it wont start chippin off, or fadin about a couple days.. is there a certain spray i need to get to make the paint really grab on to the lights? thanks in advance... oh btw how many coats of paint would yall recommend, and how many coats of clear coat to make it shine like the stock lights..

 

well maybe use thinner or something to make sure there are no oils or wax on the lights so that the paint will stick good, i would say take some fine sandpaper and ruff it a bit but imnot sure if that would show through or not
