Default hydraulic hand brake not holding

I have a Black Works Racing inline hydraulic hand brake and it doesn't always seem to hold. I have bleed the brake system at least four times and it hasn't made a difference. Some times it holds great and other time I can pull the handle up all the way with no resistance. The petal feels a little soft too. I run DOT 5 brake fluid. It doesn't leak and the reservoir is always full. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and what did to fix it. Thank you.

Replace with non-BWR product. CNC makes a decent staging brake that a lot of guys use..

My CNC doesn't even hold that great. The OEM handbrake did just as well if not better.

Agreed, their is more clamping surface area on drums then disc.

If the pedal, or staging break feels mushy or soft you have air in the line. Brake fluid doesn't compress, air does. That is where the squishy soft pedal feel comes from.

That is kinda what I expected. I was looking into the CNC but I liked the BWR because it went in the same spot as the oem brake.

It is rear disc. The car is a 1991 Integra.

Thanks, but I want a inline. I still drive the car on the streets and like the idea of having all the brakes still work on the foot pedal.

my cnc sucks for burnouts but is good for staging. burnouts my ebrake works waaay better but for staging/launching my cnc is more comfortable.
