Bumper filler panel 88-89 vs 90-91?
Been a while since I was stumped on something like this but I was at my dealership trying to find a new Honda bumper filler for my 89' Civic Si when I ran into something strange.
According to the interchange the 88-89 hb is different from 90-91 hb.
88-89: 60332-SH3-A00ZZ
90-91: 60332-SH3-A01ZZ
These parts do not supersede one another (replace) so does anyone actually know if there is a difference with the shape or design? Only the 90-91 is available from Honda otherwise this would not even be an issue

You're talking about the filler above the front bumper or rear bumper?
The front filler piece is visibly much longer in the 90/91 models compared to the pre facelift 88/89's.

Having a issue with this myself, picked up a 90 si and inherited a front bumper filler , that protrudes a good 3/4" outward from where it should normally sit. fitment with hood isn't even close, Any ideas, suggestions?
Could be a sedan filler piece. They're longer than the hatch filler pieces.
