How much can I junk my Accord for?
Have a 99 auto ex coupe with 179k on the body and a fairly new rebuilt trans and unfortunately the motor is gone, dont feel like doing any more work on it. Body and interior is in good shape as well as most of the car including the suspension. How much can I get for it? In NJ if that helps. Been searching around and it seems to be between $400-$600.

Out here PNP will just throw $500 at you and come pick it up.
If you have the time/room you could part it out but that can be a bigger hassle when people want to nickel/dime and take parts of assemblies rather than a whole system.
Try advertising in the paper/CL/whaterver the car as a 'mechanics special'. If you do sell it, make sure to sell it 'AS-IS'.
If you have the space you could get most money if you do a part out. I parted out my 1993 Mercedes, made about $400 on the forums then sold it to the PNP for $150.
Second would be to do what mike said and sell it as a mechanics special since a new engine will only be around $400.

Honestly If I were you I would take like 5 days and part out all the good stuff. Like the interior, body parts and engine parts!! Everything else you can junk real fast for cheap quick cash!! Take off all the small valuable things like switches, *****, trim piecves, etc...
