Prayoonto Racing has been hard at work this season testing new products to squeeze more power out of our race cars and give them the competitive edge we need to stay on top. We wanted to let you know what we’ve been up to and how things have gone so far this year.


One big step we have taken this season is teaming up with Fuel Injector Clinic, a leader in performance fuel injectors, to outfit each of our cars with the newest injector technology available. The guys over there have been awesome to deal with and offer excellent support for their products.


Since installing Fuel Injector Clinic injectors into all of our cars, we’ve already been able to make more power than ever before and we’ve had great results at the first two events of the season, including the Sport Compact Spring Nationals at Englishtown where we swept all three heads up classes!


We have found a great match for our three all-motor race cars with the Fuel Injector Clinic 1100cc injectors, which provide a 20% increase in fuel flow over Fuel Injector Clinic 900cc (and other options out there commonly referred to as “1000cc” injectors). Although Fuel Injector Clinic injector sizes are all rated at 43.5 psi of base fuel pressure, we pushed the 1100cc injectors we’re using in our Clutchmasters Civic all the way up to 137 psi of base fuel pressure to increase their effective flow to over 1900cc and meet our extreme methanol fueling needs. They’re working great for us, even at this kind of fuel pressure, pretty awesome.



On our Supertech turbo Integra, we are actually running two sets of Fuel Injector Clinic 2150cc injectors—two injectors per cylinder! The Fuel Injector Clinic 2150cc injectors are another example of the latest injector technology available on the market, and offer precise fuel control from idle to redline even on an injector this huge—something unheard of just a few years ago. The eight 2150cc injectors under the hood of our Integra are providing fuel at 80 psi of base fuel pressure to power the car down the ¼ mile in under 9 seconds at over 170 mph, more than a half second faster than the competition this past weekend at the Sport Compact Spring Nationals at Englishtown.


This race season holds a ton of potential as we continue to test and improve each of our cars, and with the immediate success we have seen so far working with Fuel Injector Clinic to put the best injectors on the market in each of our cars. We are looking to be a tough team to beat in 2012. Drag racing fans from all over are excited for an action-packed race season and looking forward to seeing some some new records to be set along the way.
