Alternative to kingpin machine products??.
Decided to go with both kingpin machine spherical lca and uca on my dc. problem is there outta stock. I know i waited to late in the season to change up but was not sure if i wanted to run a spherical setup. since there out of stock on all there dc2 chassis products is there a good alternative??.. that is in stock and ready to be shipped..
pro car innovations sells a bronze bushing kit that seems to work well for others. You can get them from password jdm. There is also a different company i know rick everly uses maybe hell chime in.
It's worth the wait.
Problem is that the load ratings on the other mfg's doesn't compare to Kingpin. On a drag car you'll see much greater loads, especially in the compliance bearing, then on a road race car. Kingpin is designed for a drag car, not a road car like all the other companies. Kingpin customer service is the best there is. Chris is a standup guy.
Also, he just got his own CNC now, so once it's setup (next week or so) turnaround time will be very minimal.

the pci bronze bushing kit come with bushings to replace all the upper and lower control arms except for the the shock bushing in the front lower control arm.
Yup PCI is good also.
Ordered some from "Made in OC" on here. He can be found in the road race forums. he's a dealer so good prices.

I deal direct with Kingpin, I have a set of LCA ready to ship if intrested, illl have the complaince bushings ready mid next week ready to ship. let me know! There is nothing out there that compare with kingping stuff!
How long before you guys get around to the uca''s?. ill pm you on the other stuff..

From Aurora "The maximum axial static load capacity on Aurora spherical bearings is recommended at 20% of the radial static load. Extreme care should be used on selecting a sufficiently strong housing to accept this type of bearing.
So the load rating you are stating is so much better than everyone else is really the radial load IE if the control arm was being force into the chassis from the side (great for getting t-boned in intersection), or loads see in 4 link bars etc. In reality the loads that bearing is seeing in our suspensions is axial not radial so the total load rating it greatly diminished by 80%. Luckily the traction bar is there to stabilize the axial loading on LCA and it absorbs allot of the shock. The compliance bushing will see more radial loads than LCA bearing since the LCA will want to pivot on the LCA chassis point with a spherical bearing compared to a bushing.
Excellent question BIGTUNA. As you said, axial load rating is what you really need to pay attention to. Axial load is that load that is attempting to push the ball out of the race. For the Aurora COM (commercial series) stuff where no explicit axial load rating is given the quote you have listed above applies for calculating the axial load rating. If you are using Progress front LCA bearings at last check they were using relatively low axial load rated Aurora COM series bearings. I DO NOT use those bearings in my LCAs. I will use them in my front ucas where there is not as much load but always encourage my drag race guys to go with my higher end bearings.
In my drag race line I use a NHBB (New Hampshire Ball Bearing) ABWT10 in the front LCA inner and shock mount pivot. It has an actual axial load rating explicitly listed rather than an estimated load like Aurora COM Series stuff. The "Ultimate Static Axial Load" rating for the NHBB ABWT10 is: 9,195 lbs. As a comparison the radial load is 58,500 lbs. But that rating is mostly irrelevant as that load is not in a direction the generally causes bearing failure.
For the compliance bearing I use an NHBB ABT14 bearing. It has an ultimate static axial load rating of: 14,025 lbs. Radial load of 93,300 lbs.
I would not go on record and say definitively that you should or should not run traction bars. That is up to each driver. But 23,220 lbs of combined axial load rating PER SIDE of the car is a pretty substantial amount of head room.
As far as the HARDly Race crap and the garbage Chinese bearings they use... God help if you run that stuff on your car.

The straight part of the EK front LCA is the same as the DC/EG. However, I have not created an application for EK compliance bushing yet. Unfortunately I have so much on my plate it will likely be pretty late this summer before I can get to that. I have not seen an EK UCA yet. Do you have any pics?
First off I dont need god to help me with **** and I would never buy a ****ing thing from your company. I cant beleave another company would bash another ones product.
I have 3 plus years on my HardRace parts and 300+ runs....

I wish you luck with your Communist built garbage. You see, in the US there is this whole capitalist free enterprise and competition thing going on. Companies routinely "bash" each other. Ever seen a Pepsi commercial? I was not directing any comment at you and I am sorry you are butt hurt. But I have no respect for Chinese manufacturing or China at all for that matter. Their human rights record is ridiculous. You are "free" to choose not to buy my stuff. Lots of great things about the US. Not so much with Communist China and much of the lead painted products they ship over here.

You have such class. Congrats on your racist ways!! Butt hurt? not hardly Scumbags like you dont bother me one bit..
I could see your point IF you have PROOF that the products is junk and fall apart....
