yes, just need to get custom mounts, do some custom wiring, probably custom axles. and probably not be able to pass emissions.

I'm in fl so emissions don't matter would I be able to do all that myself and would it even be worth it?

The custom wiring will be the biggest hurdle. Mechanically you could swap it all and make it fit/mount up.

However, it is a DBW engine, drive - by - wire. That is where some of your custom wiring my come into play. You would need to know or have diagrams of BOTH ECU pin out locations of each car/engine, so you could "re-pin" your necessary componets - gauge cluster, rpm, temp gauge, etc.

worth it, maybe. If you wanna try a DBW engine, use the J35A8 from a Acura TL-s. good bit of torque in that one

However, you could swap in a 3.5 litre engine from a 2002 Acura MDX or, Honda pilot, ECU and engine harness; also the 6 speed tranny from an 03-06 accord, or 04-06 Acura TL-s(with LSD). You would not have to mess with too much custom wiring, except for your piggyback or stand alone wiring harness.

The J35A3/A4 can be built to have over 300 crank HP with OEM components and bolt ons versus a J30A4/A5 with bolt ons @ around 280 crank HP. but lil more torque on the 3.5 litre

Usually if you have to ask it means its above your head on this kind of stuff. The stuff I have done similar involve having at least one person that can weld well to build brackets so as to mount the engine, having access to an axle shop that can do custom length axles with whatever ends on them you need, and then the ability to read wiring diagrams for 2 cars and figure out how to combine the systems so that it works like it should stock.

For me it would not be worth it, and that is coming from putting a 1991 civic drivetrain into a 78 civic, working fuel injection, sitting like stock, perfect axle alignment, use of all stock gauges, and able to pass emissions as a 1991, and a stock clean looking harness. Then it won 2 trophies in burnout contests.

^ This sums it all up right there.

Takes a long time for an experienced tech to do it, let alone someone who has never tried to work with wiring diagrams from 2 different cars and retain 100% function.

This is why some of us, like myself, pay others to do this type of work for us.
