Default 91 ef d15b1 wont start after dropping gas tank

car was running fine til i dropped the gas tank to change the filter and seal, now it wont start but will run on starter fluid/gas til it burns off. ive ran through several tests, replaced parts, and now im clueless.

things ive done or checked

replaced throttle body and everything attached with a known working one, changed filters, checked for obstructions/ kinks in the lines, pulled pump out dropped it in gas and watched it pump which after pulling it the first time i realized it was newish, checked main relay harness and can feel the relay going thru the motions

the starter relay only clicks once when it used to click as long as i held the key to start but still cranks

as i said im clueless at this point and need help before i lose my job, thanks

Ok.

So compression is probably good. Crank is good, Spark is probably good.

Undo the fuel line on the fuel rail, it'll spurt fuel. Put it back on, turn car to IG2. It'll represssurize the system. You have no fuel in the engine.

drop the tank again and see if you pinched a wire if they look good test for voltage to the pump and diagnose from there if it will run on starting fluid its obviously a fuel delivery problem

thats what i assumed as well, ive dropped the tank three times checking for kinks and bad connections in the wires and hoses, i have even went as far as putting clear hoses on the fuel lines to the tb and sucked gas thru to make sure the lines were clear and that gas was freely moving

i just dont understand how simple routine maintenance could cause such a headache i mean its not the first time ive dropped it.
