Cd6 h2b trans question
I just bought a 94 accord sedan with an h22a swap. The previous owner replaced the clutch that shortly after I bought it started acting like it was glazed over. Im thinking the reason behind the clutch replacement is a bad tranny not quite sure but either way im looking to do an h2b tranny swap seeing as how the factory tranny is an lx and I dont think it can handle the powe. My question is were can I find some good info on this swap google is giving me a headache and also am wrong about the lx trans? Thanks in advance for the help
you've become confused about what an H2B is and the purpose for it. do some more research on this swap. the short answer, you need a civic/integra chassis for H2B. if you want upgrade, look into H22 or H23 trans swaps.
Avoid the total modification and fabrication head ache required putting a B series trans in a CD chassis. Just get your self an H22 trans and call it a day. No need for custom mounts axles, hubs or adapter plates.
