ok so my friends car messed up last week
He has had one of those guys that has you buy all sorts of stuff trying to find out whats wrong with it. I decided to turn to this forum as it has been LOTS of help before

its a 1995 Legend V6 3.2
he was driving the carf when it suddenly began to run very rough
NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT and no the bulb isnt burned out
he could only go about 10 mph and barely got it home

It will crank but is very hard to get started
once runniing it will not idle and when you floor it
it will rev about 1000-1100 rpms MAX
a medium amount of dark colored smoke exits the exhaust

he has tried new plugs and got some injectors from a junkyard
and it has done NO better

I was thinking possibly jumped timing belt or something along those lines

can you guys suggest some ideas to explore
