Default 00 honda civic dx d16y7 CEL CODE p1456(90)

MY Car has started giving me this cel . I have checked fuse 15 (works) and replaced the gas cap with a brand new OEM at the dealer.

I have got the service Manuel and i'm trying to follow the flow chart but its quite long and starts with testing the vacuum at canister. I don't have a vacuum pump. SO before i go out and buy one i wanted to know if there's any wheres else i should start first?

Any thing that usually fails first?

any help would be really appreciated!

The EVAP system on Civic's is pretty simple. You can pressurize the system instead of vacuum testing it and listen for the leak.

I'll probably get flamed for suggesting this
