With Import Face Off cancelled here in the northwest there are only a few events left to attend. Here is the information about Forum Fest being held at Pacific Raceways on June 23rd 2012. There will be drag racing, car show, and drifting going on all day long at this event.

What type of drag racing classes will there be available? Rules similar to IFO or is it a fun run type of event. the forumfest website links you to pacific raceway general rule guidelines and nothing else.

From what i know Jeff, it's just a test and tune kind of thing.

No real classes to race in. At least that's how it was last time i went.

 

Will the track be done and ready by then?

 

According to their website, it will reopen June 8th. But who knows?

 

I just spoke with one of the track officials today. He informed me that the hold up has been the delay getting a special machine delivered that is used to grind the concrete surface to smooth and flatten it out. It is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow and they will be working through the weekend. The Honda-Tech meet is the 9th of June and I will have a flyer for that soon as well. As long as the weather holds out this event will be a go.

 

Sounds good. We'll be at both events.

What classes will there be?

 

There won't be any competition racing at this event. It is going to be a test and tune and grudge race style event. We have been working on getting some classes together for competition but it looks as though that will have to wait until next years event.

 

Hmmm better pick up those 26s from Cole and see if they fit. If not... GOnna be a scramble to find some 25s on big 4

Not sure IF Ill have everything I need by the 23rd, planned on a TnT in the middle of the week to do it, but.......

 

Im sure you'll be fine with some 24.5's/25's since people run low 9's on them. Youll probably break more with the 26's lol

We have some used 26" mickey thompsons. No wheels those. You got some 15" x 9/10" wheels?

 

MYles... You cant read fool.. IM not running at HT (Its going to be a CF if it doesnt rain, I just going to hang out and talk **** with friends). nor This probably. Ive run the car at the track 2 times... ALmost got kicked out ther second one on low boost and street tires for MPH... At alot less power than now. Ill get booted second clean hit that I stay in.

Transmission/gear set feels great though. Walked on some WHippled Ford junk this weekend.

ITs an understatement that I need to learn to drive it at the track, and I need to source a few things (Spare axles. Lubricants etc, im weird.. I like to be ready for ****). Seriously need to learn how to get it out halfway decently... But mechanicaly its good to go. Everything.

And no I NEED the rollout of the 26, thats the issue... The extra 3-4 inches (before tire stretch at wheel speed) makes a needed difference with the gearing I have going on. Me thinks I may know my car a bit better than you and why.

Id rather rape you on the Asphalt in Mexico anyways... Besides, my odds are better there anyways, but we botrh know that.

Coles 26s are 8.5s. THeyd be plenty but im open to options :O) I reeally NEED the 26. Not just for the rollout....but,You know... H Tq and all ;O)

Streets of Mexico are nice, gotta get me some tires because i wont stand a chance on 205's lol.
